Being that I visit my sponsor on a Friday, I can't post it and have it in by class time on Friday. Therefore, I will finish this post (and every 'Adventure' post from this point on) as soon as I return home from my adventure to be read by Mr. Abrams as well as my classmates. Tootles!

This boutique adventure was absolutely wonderful. :) I got to meet my sponsor for the first time, the owner of the store, Joann Armentani. She's soo bubbly and fashionable and she is such a sweetheart. You can obviously see that she has a very busy schedule and that she normally does a million things at one time. We spoke about how school is going and about how my experience at the boutique is going so far. She taught me how to steam dresses properly and how to 'Display' (:]) them correctly. One of the store employee's, Michelle, who I'm sure you guys will hear me talk about a lot, mentioned to me that they refuse to set up the boutique like a department store or one you'd see in a mall. They want to make the customer feel as if their visit is more personal and that they can feel comfortable. She explained that they can only get this result by displaying the boutique in a comfortable yet attention grabbing manner. They often put their newest pieces in the windows, displaying an array of lovely colors and sizes. As soon as she mentioned this, I jotted it down on a piece of paper, knowing that her very words would be of great help! ♥

One Dot, Two Dots, Let's CONNECT Them All!

At my last visit to my sponsor, I made a great connection to my project. Before walking in the store, I noticed a beautiful black and white prom gown placed in the dead center of one of the display windows. The dress was detailed with dots and stripes and a ruffled bottom. It sounds a bit busy but it was definitely gorgeous. If I was a normal browsing customer and had it not been a neccesity to enter the store for my intern, I most likely would have entered the store because of its window display. My project will be focusing on the way clothing stores, malls and media lures in customers, this whole situation compared precisely to my thesis. After I complimented the boutique's great work on the display, it was stated that they love placing new things in the windows to get customers interested. Hey, that can be another point in my research paper!♥

She Loves Both Stores, Yet CONNECTED w. One (2)

So Momi needed to go to Macy's to purchase a pair of shoes she has been keeping her eyes on. Many of you may know that there is a Macy's located at a few mall's not too far from us. Echelon, Deptford, Moorestown and Cherry Hill Mall, Cherry Hill being the farthest. Well, of course my mother chooses to go to Cherry Hill. I can't really complain though, being that I enjoy looking at the mall's lovely scenic appearance and array of trendy shops and stores. Quite frankly, it has way more to offer than all the other malls mentioned above in my opinion. Apparently, Momi decided to go the Cherry Hill because she likes their 'setup', as she calls it. So once again, I've been proven that the way a mall or department store portrays and displays themselves can drastocally determine entrance of customers.

Take a Deep Breath. . . .WOO-SAHH! :)

Other timesI may just browse around Tumblr or LookBook, which are sites that make time go bye SOOOOO fast and I hardly even realize it. Myspace is pretty much played out right now so I spend time on Facebook a lot. And for all the other times, when I just want to do it, I bake, preferably cupcakes, and make jewelry. (Posts about those two things are to come in the very near future.) Guess you can say I have a thing for the internet and fun stuff. Heck, it's a hell of a way to relieve stress, try it! :) ♥

"Haddonfield Stop!"

Every Friday I am destined to hear this saying over the loudspeaker of New Jersey's Patco Train. When arriving I usually begin to turn off my iTouch and begin my little journey to proceed to the boutique. My normal routine for a 'Day at the Boutique' as I would call it goes like this, getting changed into appropriate and statement making attire after 7th period, getting to the bus stop around the corner from school by 1:56 and catching it to the station. I then get on the train and get off at the Haddonfield stop. I walk 3 blocks and wah-lahhh, I've arrived! I chose Friday because I like the whole feel of a 'long weekend'. Leaving early on a friday just makes it feel like a early relief from school and after my intern I'm going straight home to chill for the rest of the weekend in contrast to returning to school the following day. The only blah part I think I would be able to justify for this sponsorship obligation is weather. Although it is cold, I can bear it with gloves and scarfs and things of that nature; however, if it happens to be raining, I'd be COL'ed! (Crap Out of Luck). It would be a bit difficult to travel with my normal bags and books and also try to keep my 'do up to par while carrying an umbrella. :/
What do I want? I would love to be shown some behind the scenes things about business. I would like to know some key rules about retail and what it takes to be successful in the independent fashion business industry, as well as key 'Consumer Wheel-in'ers' that make customers come into their store. I think that either Mr. Anthony or Joann Amentani will be able to provide that information for me.♥
